SIN meeting with Minister for Health, Rt. Hon. John Hutton MP
SIN mentioned to John Hutton that they would like to have a meeting with him to discuss the issues raised in the Papers. John Hutton invited SIN  to write in to ask for a meeting. This we did - we are still waiting for a response from the Minister. Has the letter been 'high-jacked' by  civil servants?

SIN at Downing Street

SIN presented to the Prime Minister's Office  two documents containing the 3 Papers produced by SIN + a letter informing Mr Tony Blair of the plight of the victims of medical errors and that some were being denied medical care. The letter requested  that all the material should remain at 10 Downing Street, for the attention of the Prime Minister, and NOT be sent to the D.o.H. because all the documents had already been submitted to the Ministry of Health. Amazingly - we get a letter from Quarry House, D.o.H Leeds, responding on behalf of the Prime  Minister. SIN had requested that  a signed letter of  acknowledgement should be sent from the PM himself, because the issues which SIN was bringing to the  PM's attention were so grave!! Do civil servants ever read what is sent in? No wonder the Prime Minister is accused of being out of touch with "grass roots" opinion! Tony Blair is still unaware of the fact that some of the citizens of this country are being denied medical care because they are the innocent victims of a "cover-up"!

Other Patient Support Groups, with SIN, presenting petitions at Downing Street, were repesentatives  from 'The Parents Network', 'Parents Recognition of Paediatric Errors', and APANA
